    Hi!

    I'm not sure I understand your question. The indirect object is a word or a sentence that receives the direct object.

    Ex : I gave my friend a gift.

    In this sentence, my friend is the indirect object. «I» is the subject of the verb that does the action of giving. The gift is the direct object because it's the one being given. The indirect object receives the direct object and in this case, the friend received the gift.
