    Negative infinity does, indeed, exist.

    Since infinity is the concept of endlessness, it can be applied to positive numbers going on forever as well as to negative numbers going on forever.

    Therefore, negative infinity is the same concept as positive infinity, but applied to negative numbers. It is written −∞.
