    Thanks for your question ShyButterfly6490!

A constraint is the effect of a force. More precisely, the constraints are broken down into five categories:

Crushing : The reduction in the size of an object under the effect of a compressive force. For example, cars driving on a road cause asphalt crushing.

Elongation (or extension) : The stretching of a body under the effect of a tensile force. For example, pulling on the straps of a heavy plastic bag will cause the bag to stretch.

Torsion : Two rotational movements in two opposite directions. For example, the twist of a wet rag.

Bending : Several forces exerted in several places on an object cause it to bend. For example, vehicles in the middle of a bridge and its supporting structures cause the bridge to flex.

Shear : Two forces exerted in parallel at the same place and in two opposite directions. For example, scissors cause the paper they are cutting to shear.
