I’m not sure if your answer is right, but it probably is, because when he says he had an impulse to drag the Spanish teacher, it meant that he had a sudden desire to drag the teacher without thinking of what would happen afterwards. It’s if you ACT on a sudden feeling. It’s an urge to do something without giving it some thought. Basically to act without thinking. I’m pretty sure your teacher would accept your answer.
