what are the synonyms for "community" and "society"?

En premieu lieu, il faut connaitre que sont les synonymes.

Les synonymes sont des mots ou des expressions qui ont exactement le même sens ou un sens extrêmement proche. Par exemple, un synonyme de "bien" est "beau".

Donc, tu dois avant toute chose que tu saches la définition des mots pour comprendre leur nature.

En deuxième lieu, pour trouver des synonymes ou des mots de même famille, je te suggère de regarder le contexte dans lequel le mot s'agit et déniche un mot de ton vocabulaire que tu connais qui à le sens identique. Cherche des mots dans le dictionnaire ou sur l'internet dans le pire des cas. Lis aussi des livres pour élargir ton vocabulaire :)

Je vais te venir plus en aide et te dire que "community"="communauté", qui signifie un groupe de personnes, donc un synonym approprié pourrait etre "groupe" ou même "collectivité".

In first place, knowing what synonyms are is primordial.

Synonyms are words or expressions which have an identic meaning, or close enough. For example, a synonym of the word “good” is “nice”. As when you say, “good job” you can also say “nice job”.

Therefore, before anything else, you must know the definition of the words you want synonyms for and understand their nature and sense.

 

In second place, to find synonyms of a word, I strongly recommend to find the word in question in the text or sentence to understand the context of it. It will be then easier to understand its meaning and find a word from your vocabulary with the same one.

If not, you can always make usage of a dictionary or even the Internet, in the worst of cases, to find synonyms. I also recommend for you to read books to expand your vocabulary.

 

I will give you an additional helping hand, and tell you that “community” means a group of people. A synonym for it could be “group” or, even better, “collectivity”.
