Question de l’élève

Secondaire 1 • 2a

Hello! Good afternoon and happy Thanksgiving!

I have an English question.

I'm reading a book called Crispin and in one of the sentences it says: "But His will be done."

I don't really understand what that means. Is it religious or part of a culture..? Please help me understand this.

Thanks so much! Have a great day :))

The_Elfe.

ps: if you have the book this sentence is on page 3, the second line.

    Hello!

Without the context (the two sentences before and the one after), it is very difficult to know what it means. Unfortunately, I don't have this book. I recomand you try to understand with the context.

Here are some questions to ask yourself :

    Who does "His" refer to?

    What will be done?

If you have another question, we will be happy to help you!

    Laurie :)
