The brain is separated between two hemisphere. The corpus callosum is the connection of these hemispheres by more than 200 million myelinated neurons, allowing communication between the right and left sides of the brain. Thus the corpus callosum facilitates problem solving.

Corpus callosym undergoes significant growth and development in the teenage brain.
