    Hello mangousteagile51!

Ultramontanism is a school of thought where it is believed that the church should be at the top of the decision pyramid. It is also argued that the state should submit to the decisions of the Church.

Ultramontanes believe that only the Catholic Church can recognize what is right and what is wrong in the political, cultural, moral and religious.

I hope that answers your question :)
