    Good evening!

The American Revolution is an uprising in North America. The Thirteen Colonies claim their independence from their metropolis: The Great Britain.

Several events led to the American Revolution, including the imposition of numerous taxes by the British Crown, without consultation of the American population. This revolution is strongly inspired by the ideas of the Enlighteners; advocating for equality, freedom and self-determination. For example, Jean Jacques Rousseau is a philosopher who defends the idea that power really belongs to the people.

To learn more about this revolution, I invite you to consult our video on this subject.
