    Hi !

To round a number first locate the digit at the place value being rounded. Then, analyze the digit directly to its right.

If it's a 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, the number at the place value to be rounded does not change and if it's a 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9, add 1 to the number in the position being rounded.

In your case, it is odd to want to round the number to ten thousand since it does not have number at this position.

I hope the explanation still helps and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask them !

    Have a nice evening !
