math strategy: how to find in quickly. Two numbers that when we add them we get 433 and when we subtract them it is 39 (the two exact numbers).

    It seems like you already asked this question? Just like my colleague answered, to solve this problem without using a trial and error method, you would have to use algebra:

    (x+y)+(xy)=433+39

    2𝑥=472

    𝑥=472/2

    𝑥=236

    And then we would have to integrate that number in the first equation:

    236+y=433

    𝑦=433−236

    y=197

    Just like my colleague said, keep in mind that this is a problem that couldn't be solved with this method as per the knowledge you learn in sixth grade!
