In the answer key they had water on top of the boundary and ice at the bottom. I assumed that since water is heavier than ice i inverted its position. The arrows , rays and etc are correct but as i said previously it's inverted. Would this be considered wrong?

For question 1.c Chapter 3 Projectiles : I did like they did to solve for t by using the Vfx formula last time (b). Unfortunately they used the quadratic formula this time... The opposite of what I did...I'm lost....🤦‍♂️ Here's my work below..

I'm trying to understand the difference between URM/UARM and Projectiles. It seems as if the difference is that there is a different kind of force that is pushing the object. There was a question in UARM of a child pushing an a ball up a hill and it coming back down once hitting the garage door. It's confusing to me that this is not a projectile. I get a projectile is an example of an arrow being launched by a bow, and golf ball being hit by a golf club, a bullet being shot by a barrel, but why is this different from a child pushing a ball up a hill against the garage? Is it because UARM can be guided but not a projectile? So the child throwing the ball is considered to be guiding the object? Same situation of the pitcher throwing a baseball, the ball being hit by the batter and coming back to him.

I think I found another error from SOFAD... Anything times 0 is 0. The velocity has to be 1 m/s. Right?

How much work do I have to show in order to get all my points. I need at least 90 percent on these physic exams if I want to have a chance at getting into the physiotherapy technologists program so every detail counts. At the same time I can be a bit slow so I don't want to end up not finishing the exams because I'm trying to do every single step that may not be necessary. How would you have gone through this problem to get full points? I did three calculations here. Should I have done 4 including the t subscript f and t subscript i? Or the step after subtracting 8 minus 2 seconds would have been more important?

I understand that the arrow represents a vector but I still don't understand why the book shows one with the arrow and the other not.

Si la vitesse du son dans l’eau est de 1450 m/s, combien de temps après toi ton ami sur le quai à côté de toi entend-il le bruit de la collision?
