Is first person P.O.V, a code and convention of a short story...? I remember reading it somewhere, but now I'm not sure.

    Good evening CalmSwam8973!

In a short story, first-person POV is often privileged, yet, it is not mandatory. Short story conventions are that it must start abruptly, not too many characters must be implicated in the story, and there must have only one plot.

    Hope this helps!
