The main suggestion is to not repeat the same words too many times. Indeed, you can try replacing them by pronouns or other nouns/adjectives/verbs. I will give you some examples on how to replace the words.
You can learn more about pronouns by clicking on the link below.
Instead of repeating the title, you could write: ''We named our clique this way, because...''.
Or again, say ''(...) being couch potatoes and becoming the fanciest ones (...)''.
You can also switch up the word potato by saying for example ''this vegetable''.
Keep in mind, these are just suggestions to ease the reading.
