Hi, I have an exam on the future and I was wondering if there were a tip on whether to use "will" or "be going to"?

    Hi, you should use will. Like in the future there will be robots or there will be able to create cars that go at light speed. You could also use shall. Like in the future there shall be amazing robots

    Even though these two possibilities can be used when talking about an event that will happen in the future, one way can sometimes be more appropriate than the other.

    For example, we use will to describe future plans that are decided in the present, while be going to is used to describe future plans that were planned in the past.

    Will can also be used to describe a future fact, while be going to expresses an event that is about to happen.
