First of all, if you look at contestant LM-0132, you can see that their pace isn't steady; the coefficient isn't the same for the whole race.

As for the contestant JP-1001, the function is steady, because it is in a straight line. To find the function associated to that graph, we would have to use the form:

$$y=ax+b$$
